About the Course
This 2 day course will provide delegates with an understanding of the skills and techniques required in repairing and maintaining historic property using leadwork. The course will cover both functional leadwork, such as roof flashings, and decorative leadwork, such as finials, weathervanes and hopper heads.
Those attending will be required to wear stout footwear and outdoor clothing. Boilersuits, hard hats, safety goggles & gloves can be provided.
Lecturer: Adam Wilkin
The course instructor is Adam Wilkin who, now retired, spent a lifetime working on plumbing and specialist leadwork. His career involved repairing many historic buildings across Scotland, including more than 40 castles.
